White America Still Doesn’t Get It…The 2008 Presidential Election

When the Presidential campaigns began, I set back, watched and listened with an open mind.  However, after living under the Bush administration for 8 years, I had decided there was no way in Hell that I would vote for a Republican contender.  With eyes on the Democratic party hopefuls, soon out of the gate Hilary Clinton became a favorite.  She boasting of her experience, husband was a Democratic two term President, she wanted to be the president of the working class, etc., etc., made a mighty good argument that she should be the Democratic nominee.  Then all Hell broke loose….a “Black” man out of no where began nipping at her heels.  Where did this man come from, and how dare he take the spot light from Mrs.Clinton?  Hilary was suppose to win the nomination by a landslide; there is no one worthy to be the nominee except her…or so she thought.  As the months rolled by and as Hilary began to loose one primary after another, soon falling behind “this Black man out of no-where” in pledged delegates; super delegates moving from her side, we began to see a different Hilary.  A Hilary that shows who wears the pants in the family and though we don’t condone the behavior now understand why Bill had so many affairs.  Really, how many times have you seen Hilary in a dress….I’m just pointing out a fact.  I digress…back on topic.  As the months have gone by, we see an ever changig Hilary:  an angry Hilary, a desperate Hilary, and now “Diva Bitch” Hilary has reared it’s ugly head.  Clealy she has demonstrated that she cannot handle stress.  Rather than admit her mistakes, she blames them on some one else, it’s never her fault.  Rather than admit she is loosing the contest because the American people has spoken, she blames it on the fact that she is a woman…which is really a bullshit claim, because we all know “white” trumps “Black” every time (so society obviously has some serious issues with Mrs. Thang).  She has proven that when one becomes desperate, one will do anything to win, it’s interesting that Hilary was the one to play the “race-card” not the lonely “Black” contender.  She first sparks flames about his one-time minister and long-time friend who spoke things in his church that has been heard by all “Black” people around the world who attend chuch.  His words were not new nor were they specific to him…these are words “Black” church-goers hear all the time.  Then to add insult to injury she insists she should be the Democratic nominee because she can bring in the white working class voters….well, what about the Brown, Asian, and Black voters…..damn them, they are not important.  As if this isn’t enough her defense of last week’s fooba that she is staying in the campaign because someone might assinate her “Black” rival is a bit unforgivable.  Needless to say she is making it look really bad for women…her behavior is just what men need to substatuate their belief that a woman should never be president….way to go Hilary and thank you from females every where.  What this campaign has reminded me is that it doesn’t matter that the doctor who developed the technique for seperating conjourned twins and successfully seperated the first set was a “Black” man, and that the majority of the tools we use today were developed by “Black” men and women.  It does not matter that for once, there is a well educated, well spoken, well dressed, well informed, highly qualified “Black” man running for Presidet of the United States of America…becuse no matter what the Hilary Clinton’s of this world will always remind you that you are nothing but a “Black” man in America.  You see as long as white America doesn’t feel threatened, it’s okay to be Michael Jordan, Johnny Cochran, Judge Thomas, Colen Powell, etc.  But don’t let a “Black” man show a chance in Hell of becoming president of the United States of America, then all bets are off and lines are drawn.  One would think that after the Civil War, Politica battles, Civil Rights Movemet, and the many other avenues of change, that today in 2008 White America still doesn’t get it.  When we go to war “Black” men fight beside their white brothers, ensuring their safe return to their families.  Yet as heroic as the may be the “Black” soldier comes home just as battered and war-damaged as his white counterparts, yet he is still treated like a non-citizen upon his retun to an America he defended.  White American at some point in time has to understand they are superior to others based on the color of their skin.  Until we learn to treat all Americans with respect and gratitude to everyone’s contributions into making American a great nation,we will steadly decline, in wealth, power, and respect from other countries.  Who will I be voting for in November….not the Diva Bitch and certainly not McCain…you do the math.  Looking forward to hearing from you. Until next time…Georgia Bradley Green

“Obama’s campaign has been extraordinary and titillating for me and my family. I think that Obama will be almost automatically a healing factor in the animosity now and the distrust that relates to this country and its government.”

I certainly agree with your statement. The current administration has casued grave damage on the Global front. Our bullying tatics has cost us dearly these last 8 years of tyranical governing. I like the idea of being included in the healing process and I too believe that Obama is the one who can repair the damage with time.
